Attend a local Virtual Reality Meetup!
The Long Beach VR Meetup last Saturday, October 24th, was a lot of fun. The topic was 3D Audio, and our own Jason Riggs, OSSIC CEO, gave a tech talk, and we showed two product demos: the OSSIC headphone prototype and a SW solution on an HTC Vive. Yeah, people like it!
Also presenting at the event, was the event organizer Christopher Cain, as well as AJ Campbell and legendary audio producer Robert Margouleff (http://www.robertmargouleff.com/), who spoke about the past, present, and future of mixing surround audio.
There were more demos from Nick Venden, event organizer, and AJ, and a great group of VR enthusiasts were in attendance, which brings us to the title of this post. If you are at all interested in or curious about Virtual Reality, I highly recommend you attend a local VR meetup. There are people from all walks of life and all levels of VR knowledge. There is insider news about what is happening in the industry and a wealth of information from folks who have been studying and working in VR for decades.
Shout out to the OCVR Meetup, which will be hosting “VR Film School” starting December 5th in Irvine with a film festival of the final products Hollywood, CA.
