Collision Conference and Sonic VR Demo
Last week the team set off on a road trip from sunny San Diego to even more sunny Las Vegas for a two day conference called Collision.
Collision is a yearly conference that's heavily focused on startups and technology, two things that us at Sonic VR are really, really into. It's visited by the likes of Elon Musk as well as the founders of great companies large and small. We were lucky enough to see and even meet a few of the big names over the course of the week, including Troy Carter, Facebook CMO Gary Briggs, as well as Jaunt CEO Jens Christensen.
One thing we can assure you is that virtual reality was a big topic of the conference and was covered in several of the headlining talks. We even got to meet some fellow companies in the space who were there, including the crew over at Next VR. Hi guys!
Also throughout the show we had set up a demo table showcasing our hand-built prototype for people to drop by and experience. Their reactions to 3D audio were priceless, and lucky for us we were able to capture a few of the best on film for you to see.
Over the next few weeks we'll be working on the next phase of the prototype development in preparation for several trips we'll be making up and down the west coast. Up to this point, every prototype has been hand-built by our acoustic and mechanical teams as we simultaneously test the newest features and work on the final product design.
Next week we'll be headed to San Jose for SVVR conference (May 18-19), so keep an eye out for us if you are there and definitely stop by to hear the demo.
