Here’s your updates for the week ending August 12th:
On the Blog:
Grammy nominated DJ/producer Morgan Page has been interested in VR since the early days, and this week he took to our blog for a guest post exploring the intersection of VR and music. If you’re in any way interested in what the future looks (and sounds like) it’s a great read. Check it out here >>
Simultaneously to the hardware and software, our design team has begun the packaging design process, and yesterday some early designs and rough dimensions were sent to our manufacturing team for cost estimates. We want to ensure the final packaging is reusable and durable, while also maintaining a limited environmental impact.
OSSIC X Development
Our CPO, Dave, has been at our manufacturer to assist with the early production items on the 2nd manufacturing prototype. Additional team members will be leaving within the next week to oversee the beginning of the assembly process.
As many of you are aware, CES is one of the biggest events of the year. We’re happy to announce that we’ll have a booth at the event to demo the OSSIC X and to meet all of you! Stay tuned for more information in the coming months.
For the makers, producers, artists, and developers out there—don’t forget to check out our Creator Spotlight page. Every month we'll be selecting a project from within our community to be featured on our blog and social media. We’d love to learn more about what you’re making and help promote it to the world. Check it out here >>
We had a blast at VRLA this year, as did the other 6,000+ attendees who made up one of the largest VRLA events to date. Our very own Joy Lyons was featured on the Hardware for VR panel presented by HP (seen above). If you were there and have any questions about the audio discussion, feel free to shoot us a note at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Enjoy the weekend!
